Campbelltown is a suburb that is located 50 kilometres south-west of Sydney CBD. It is the administrative centre of Campbelltown City. It is recognised by ‘Geographical Names Board of New South Wales’ as one of the only four cities within Sydney. Its sister city is Koshigaya, Saitama in Japan. Campbelltown got its name from former Governer Lachlan Macquarie’s wife, Elizabeth Campbell.
